This a natural vegetable wax exctracted from the candelilla plant in Northeaster Mexico. It is soluble in alcohol and is not soluble in water. Melting point is 156 to 163 F. It is a non gelling thickener, and compatible with most natural and synthetic waxes and resins. It adds a nice gloss to lipsticks.
